NCL Gateway Chapter Philanthropy Partner Agreement 2024-2026
NCL Gateway Chapter looks forward to building a mutually beneficial partnership with your organization.
The National Charity League, Inc. Gateway Chapter (NCL) is pleased to partner with your organization/agency (aka Philanthropy Partner). Our goal is to develop a mutually beneficial relationship for both organizations. NCL commits to provide valuable hands-on volunteer support of your organization’s events and programs; in turn, your organization commits to provide meaningful learning and leadership opportunities for NCL volunteers. This Agreement may be terminated upon 60 days written notice without cause of penalty by either party.
Important Note: NCL volunteers are not permitted to raise or handle money for other organizations. NCL members may not serve alcohol for partner organizations.
NCL Ticktockers (youth members) range from 7th through 12th grades, ages 12-19, and have a variety of interests and abilities. Consideration of age appropriate assignments is appreciated. Volunteer opportunities for mother-daughter (termed NCL patroness-ticktocker) joint participation are preferred by our membership. As leadership development, education and cultural awareness are important elements of the NCL membership experience, NCL respectfully requests your commitment to teach our volunteers about the important work your organization provides in the community, to provide opportunities to learn from your organization’s leadership and, as appropriate, the opportunity to work directly with your beneficiaries so that NCL volunteers will gain a direct appreciation of the impact that your organization/agency provides.
NCL will assign a specific adult volunteer(s) to be your partnership Liaison(s). The Liaison(s) will be your primary NCL contact responsible for communicating specific volunteer opportunities to our members as well as communicating the needs of NCL to your volunteer coordinator and/or leadership team. The NCL Liaison will communicate all volunteer opportunities on the NCL website, send email reminders, organize volunteers for events, and write about the partnership for the NCL chapter website and other chapter communications. It is expected that whenever possible the Philanthropy Partner contact or volunteer coordinator will alert the NCL Liaison well in advance of the organization/agency’s special events so that adequate communication and planning may occur.
NCL stresses with its membership the importance of honoring commitments and is proud of NCL’s reputation of providing strong teams of trained and dedicated volunteers to address the needs identified in the community. In return, NCL requests that both parties discuss and agree to the following:
